You’re getting the error due to insufficient memory allocated for the WordPress file to run properly from the server.
Wordpress Core config file is set to memory of 32MB. WordPress by default loads with 13MB to 15MB or so. It’s just at the edge of 16MB at the start. Quiet low for WordPress to do much.
I hope you can talk to your server to increase this.
