Sorry to hear about the hacking. All of our themes use standard wordpress functions. They are all handled by wordpress and data is given to the theme through its functions. Theme doesn’t over-ride or directly access database to create loopholes. It’s secure. It’s likely the problem occurred from another point. If the site has been hacked likely the hacker has placed codes in the server including theme files. I’d recommend to restore the files from a backup version or original download.
