It would really be nice if there was an option to specify this when putting in the URL. For example many people may want to use this theme with a portfolio where at times you want to open a link to show off a website you created by opening a new tab or window (but not have them leave your main site). Other times you want to go to the portfolio item or a gallery or something else within the site where you wouldn’t want to open a separate window. Most other themes I have used in the past allow you to use the target code when specifying the link you want to use without having to modify the theme template. It’s not that I mind modifying the template, it’s just that it would work better if I could have the option of either one based on the individual portfolio item.
